Freecell+ Solitaire uses a single deck of 52 cards. All of the cards are dealt into 8 tableau piles. Four freecells are positioned to the right and four foundation piles are positioned to the left above the tableau piles.

The standard version of the game is started with any card being placed at the top of the tableau pile and then the piles are then built using alternating colours in descending order.

In the options page it is possible to select 'Kings Only' this then only allows the piles to be started with a king which increases the difficulty of the game. There is also an option for 'Suits Only' this changes the way that the piles are built, instead of alternating colours the piles have to be built using the same suit in descending order, again this increases the difficulty of the game and Finally there is also an option to change the number of freecells available from 1 to 4, the less freecells available the more difficult the game.

The aim of the game is to move all of the cards to the foundation piles, each foundation pile must contain the same suit of card and start with an ace ascending to a king. Cards cannot be removed from the foundation to the tableau or to the freecells once placed there.

Each freecell may contain only one card. Cards in the cells can be moved to the foundation piles or back to the tableau piles, if possible.

Only one card can be moved at a time, but as a shortcut, the game  will allow you to move a full or partial build if there are enough empty tableau and empty freecells, because you would have been able to get the same result by temporarily moving the extra cards into the empty tableaus. If the number of cards to be moved exceeds the maximum allowed a warning message is displayed.

Once all of the cards are in descending order in each tableau pile a 'Auto Finish' button is displayed, pressing this button will move all of the cards automatically to the foundations completing the game. A winning message is then displayed.

The game also records the game play statistics including:-
